OUR STORY

Trinity Church is thrilled to be a part of the Olmsted Falls community. Though we’re new to the neighborhood, our constant goal has always been to model an authentic Christian community built on the good news of the gospel. No matter where we’ve met or who led us, Trinity has always sought to embody the God-centeredness of Reformed theology and the passionate pursuit of God emphasized in the charismatic community.

Twenty years ago, our story began when “Sovereign Grace Church” was planted by Don DeVries with a group of families from North Coast Community Church. Don built into our church a love for God and a commitment to strong doctrine that endures among our members. Though Don returned to his sending church in 2007, many of the original families have remained here two decades later.

Under Darren Lander’s time as our Lead Pastor, Trinity has undergone a number of changes. We’ve moved from school buildings to our previous facility at a storefront plaza in North Olmsted and, just recently, from the plaza to our own newly renovated church building on Lindbergh Blvd in Olmsted Falls. Over that time, we've seen seasons of exciting growth, in particular in 2011 when we welcomed in members of Covenant Community Church from Grafton. We’ve also sent out members who are now serving God in seminaries and in other churches and ministries in the area. In 2015, we added an official team of elders to lead alongside Darren, made the difficult decision not to affiliate with the newly-reorganized Sovereign Grace Churches, and changed the name of our church to Trinity Church.

As we begin our third decade as a church, Trinity remains committed to our ongoing mission: to make disciples who live for God’s glory, who love as Christ’s people, and who labor together in the Spirit’s power.
