As you make your plans for Easter Weekend, you're welcome to join us tonight at Trinity Church for our Good Friday Service at 6:30 pm.
Each day this week, we're looking at the day by day unfolding of the Passion Week. Today, "Good Friday" begins the terrible saga of the Cross.
"How easy it is to ask the right questions but for all the wrong reasons. One day, the questions will be asked: 'Is Jesus the Son of God?' 'Who was it then that struck Him?' 'Were you with this Man?' 'Were you found among His followers?' On that day, at the judgment - when God asks the questions - the tone will be so much different. But for now, the illusion of power resides in the hands of men."

SUMMARY
Jesus is tried all night long by the Jews: first with Annas (Jn 18:13), then before Caiaphas (Jn 18:19), then the entire Sanhedrin (Luke 22:66). At dawn, they dragged Jesus before the Romans for abuse/trial.
FOR REFLECTION
Read Psalm 22 … Here the prophecy of suffering begins to be fulfilled. Jesus is now on trial before those who encompass and surround him, before those who open their mouths to accuse and roar at Him… Pilate asks “What is truth?” … but “Where is justice?” is more fitting.
Jesus, we want to stay by You … rather than to run or flee, we wish to stay. We share Peter’s tendency to deny You … and many others may jeer you, but we want to be stay and watch and wonder in amazement at Your love.
